We use Maximo. It works well for us but I think it might be overkill for your situation. There are less complicated/labor intensive/expensive products that would be better for you.
We converted to TMS by Four Rivers, last march. Currently we are only using the system for work orders. The conversion from our old system to the TMS did not go very well and we basically had to re-enter our entire inventory. Our staff is using the wireless PDA's to receive and close-out work orders which seems to be working well. Like any system there is a big learning curve that you need to get over, but once you do the system works well.
